Convento di Giaccherino’s halls are spaces that can accommodate different events, from a minimum of 80 to a maximum of 600 guests. Each room has a view of the gardens and the landscape all around. During the clearest day, you can see from Florence to the plain of Lucca.

The interior spaces are also on the first floor. It is possible to reach the rooms by a comfortable staircase or via the elevator. In this way, people with mobility difficulties can easily access it.

Garden

The Garden of Convento di Giaccherino covers an area of 1.500 square meters, and it is the ideal place to celebrate weddings. But also light lunches, aperitifs, and dinners outdoors.

It has elegant loggias and alternates the English Garden with typical hedges of the Italian Garden.
The area also hosts a family of dwarf palms and four cedars, illuminated in the evening. That’s is the ideal setting for an unforgettable event.

Loggia of the Garden

The garden of the Convent of Giaccherino is surrounded on two sides by an elegant loggia, which provides shelter from the rain.

Its spaces are an excellent solution to celebrate a wedding with civil rite or set up the outdoor reception, even when the weather is not the best. In the evening, it can also be enriched by candles and lights that make the atmosphere even more beautiful.

Gallery of the Library

The Gallery to reach the Library can accommodate private and corporate events, with various arrangements, as needed.
At one time, the Library kept a book heritage that grew to form, in the seventeenth century, a collection of 4400 volumes.

All the books were placed under protection by a papal bull of Paul V to safeguard their conservation. The volumes are now in the Forteguerriana Municipal Library in Pistoia.

Refectory

This space, which has maintained the ancient arrangement of tables and benches along the walls, is an original place for business meetings, team building, and incentive activities.

Convento di Giaccherino’s Refectory, expanded in the fifteenth century, hosts a fresco with the Cenacle on the back wall.

Chiostro Minore

Thanks to its versatility, which makes it ancient and modern at the same time, this space is particularly suitable for intimate weddings, cocktail events, or corporate dinners.

The lunettes of the Cloister Minor, dedicated to Sant’Antonio, were decorated in the second half of the seventeenth century by artists from the circle of Giovanni da San Giovanni. Enriched by an original well and adorned with columns, this cloister welcomes you and your guests in a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.

Chiostro Maggiore

In the spring and summer, this large space is perfect for elegant wedding receptions, ceremonies, or different types of events. The space, partially covered by frescoed loggias, can be set up and decorated according to the needs of each with flowers, candles, or cascades of lights.

The lunettes of the Cloister, made by Alessio Gimignani and Francesco Leoncini in 1642 with images of the life of San Francesco, are the perfect setting to celebrate with your beloved.

Salone delle Feste

This lounge can host receptions with 450 guests sitting at the table. Alternatively, the room can host three different adjoining rooms, using a partition.

The ceiling has five crystal chandeliers, which create a refined and elegant style. From the 16 side windows, moreover, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Pistoia.
The lounge is on the first floor and has two elevators. Go up the stairs, the lounge leads to the Lounge Area. It represents a comfortable and versatile room to host the catering service you have chosen.

Sala Duomo

The room is perfect for hosting wedding receptions, gala dinners, and corporate events such as meetings and team building. The environment has a rustic and authentic style, with a capacity of 150 people seated at the tables. The ceiling is embellished with wooden beams and a wrought iron chandelier.

The room bears this name because it is spread over two angular sides of Convento di Giaccherino and has seven panoramic windows overlooking the Duomo of Pistoia. Thanks to its versatility, the spaces can also host cultural activities, prayer, reflection meetings, art exhibitions, or concerts.

Sala Nobile

The so-called Sala Nobile, although more intimate, recalls the Salone delle Feste style. It can accommodate up to 130 people seated. The space has an independent entrance that makes it ideal for hosting intimate ceremonies, private parties, welcome cocktails, and corporate events.

The room offers an exceptional view of the Convento’s gardens in any season of the year. The space has a beautiful medallion frescoed on the ceiling and depicts Saint Francis.

Panoramic Terrace

The Panoramic Terrace of the Convento di Giaccherino is a magical and cozy place to organize intimate and romantic events, such as a wedding proposal, a cocktail gala, or an exclusive party.

The terrace, surrounded by the tops of the forest trees, is suspended in the air. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Pistoia and Montalbano. On clear days you can admire a view that reaches the Duomo of Florence with Brunelleschi’s dome.

Church of San Francesco in Giaccherino

The first church, still consecrated, inside the complex of Giaccherino traces back to the fifteenth century.

At the base of the stone arches, there is the coat of arms of the Panciatichi family. The side altars of the noble families of Cellesi and Rospigliosi, made in 1580, are dedicated to the Madonna and the Holy Crucifix.
You can reach the Chapel of San Pierino from the internal staircase.

Parking

It is possible to easily reach this event venue by car, along the road that leads from the ring road of Pistoia to the Convento di Giaccherino, following the road signs.

The large private car park can accommodate up to 300 parking spaces.
